Tweak category pages in WordPress

DailyBlogTips post interesting tweak for WordPress blog users. I am amazed about simplicity of this idea and why i don’t figure it out myself. The main idea is to change the look of category archive and show only post titles there.

You can see my new view online: ‘WordPress Plugins’ category.

I only show titles with some small tweaks like date, comments… I don’t have only titles because of my K2 WordPress theme and php file ‘the loop’ that controls everything for it.

The best solution is to put only titles without anything more, put them in list like here on DailyBlogTips.

I think this tweak should work good for blogs that have some posts in history.

Another nice feuture that DailyBlogTips show is plugin: Custom Query String, which customize the number of posts that we want to show in archives, category pages and even single category name…

This plugin separate the number of posts on homepage from other pages like category archive. Installation is really simple and it works for me.

Anything that i wrote above is inside video tutorial that you can watch:

Display Only Post Titles on Category Pages.

Hope you can use it on your blog. I think it can be used for simple designs and make it clean as much as it can be.
