Recently i read mail from author of plugin that make ping better for WordPress. He ask me to review it on my blog, so here it is..
The Ultimate Plugins Smart Update Pinger replaces the standard Wordpress build-in ping functionality and makes many improvements to it. It is based on, and an improved version of, the (now discontinued) “Smart Update Pinger v2.00” by Christian Davén.
Current version: v3.00 (released 8.1.2008)
Features:
1. Works for all wp 2.0+ releases
2. For future posts, services are only pinged when the post has appeared on your blog
3. Reverse (newest entries first) logging
4. More detailed ping & error logging
5. Auto-selects whether to do an extended or normal ping depending on server capability
6. For extended pings, it uses the new URL instead of just the homepage URL to ping (resulting in a much higher quality ping)

Thanks for the review on the smart update pinger plugin. I’ve been looking for a something like this because I do tend to modify posts pretty often.
