Today i want to show you nice gallery that we can use with WordPress because now we have plugin for it.
I test this on SilentBits blog with WordPress 2.2 version and SimpleViewer plugin version 0.4.
I put all of my old images there, import took some time but it was pretty easy.
You can see how it looks without WordPress, this is address to official website: SimpleViewer.
More … now you can install this plugin for WordPress, simple upload to plugins directory and turn it on.
My galleries is online here: SilentBits Gallery. I put there some old photos, it will be up2date in future.
You can setup this through WP admin panel, colors and many more options are there just waiting to customize it.
Just put all files to ../wp-contect/photos/ and create new folders with photos that you want show.
Big minus is that PNG is not supported (i need to convert all to JPG format… but now we have many free programs that make this process automatically).
All previews are automatically creates with GD library (so you need to have it on hosting that you use for your WP weblog).
Another restriction is you can use only one gallery for one post or page. You put galleries by one line of code with image folder name.
So i think that is all, it works without bugs and it is very fast. If you need simple gallery why not, it is certainly free.
