AJAX Comments 2.0

ajax2 AJAX Comments 2.0 It really works, no need to change anything (it was always very hard to install AJAX Comments on every theme for WordPress), just upload and enjoy. I use it on SilentBits till yesterday.

Like author said: “Probably one of the best ways you could spice up your WordPress Blog with AJAX; readers love it! Must see for yourself.”

I don’t really know how he did it but it really works great. This can be big step for WordPress community because it is really very comfortable. I would like to see also live search with AJAX also installed on every blog. This was another feature that only chosen can benefit. Some days i try to installed it but with no success.

So here are some details:

Features:

* comment form validation happens server-side without refreshing or leaving the page
* Script.aculo.us Fade In/Out Effects make readers happy
* works with AuthImage captcha word verification plug-in to prevent comment spam
* still works traditionally if browsers don’t support JavaScript (or have it disabled)
* uses existing theme code to match styled comment threads when producing new comments
* 25-second server timeout ensures readers aren’t left hanging
* works in current versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Netscape, and Safari.

Recommendations:

* perfectly compliments any well-styled comment form—don’t design without it
* best when moderation is off (seems more real-time) and AuthImage is installed (self-moderation is the best moderation)

And download link AJAX Comments 2.0.

If you want to test it just leave comment to this post !

Wow i see many people like it.

I am not expert on AJAX but i am sure there is a support for this plugin. It is very popular so you should find help on this.

I see you make comment on post so maybe try also email author here:

    Good luck.

Thanks for your words. I have just contacted the author.
One question though, you really didnt need to change codes, just activated the plugin and then AJAX Comment worked?

  11. 11 CoXis (69 comments) Aug 13th, 2006 at 5:42 pm

Yes, but this theme i use maybe was prepared for it.
It has many plugins build in into code so if the plugin is active i didn’t need to change nothing in the code by myself.

To be hearty today i change my green theme to new K2 and K2 has this Ajax comments build inside so i turn off the Ajax plugin i was writing about in this post. This new theme is temporary and will be changing it in future so for now (today) the plugin is off.

Ok i am closing comments in this thread.

    Why ?

Because the comments use normal K2 Ajax, not the AJAX Comments 2.0 plugin.

If you just want to see how Ajax comments works, comment on any other thread on this website.
