You can read the full story how we mod this theme here Re-Design Complete.

Minimalistic two-in-one column theme. Searching and commenting is powered by AJAX made by Seven Goslings, but works as normal if javascript is disabled. Design is made by the undersigned.

Redesign by SilentBits.

How this theme looks (screenshots):

This was the main part when the page loads with two new posts.

Main Page with 2 posts-preview.jpg

Next we have footer (it take time to create it with much CSS play) with several elements. In this theme we can treat footer as separate part of website with for example nice short stories.

This was the single post page.

    Yay! First!

First up – THANK YOU for this! Very generous indeed!

Second – Oops! Your download link is wrong! (You missed out the ‘r’ on ‘.rar’ for the filename!)

    Just saying, that’s all :)

    I don’t see that ‘rar miss’… it is file.rar ?

  3. 3 Michael Sep 30th, 2006 at 5:20 am

It’s the picture that links to the download, it’s extension is .ra instead of .rar :)

I hope he will. He helped me alot with configure his version. It makes creation process faster this way because i know what to change or not. The longest part of this was the CSS for footer. You must install all the plugins to see the whole footer beauty, i put alot of work to create it.

    Cheers, thanks for comments.

Is there a reason I can’t modify any of this theme through WordPress? All my other themes allow me to modify them…

  10. 10 Peter Oct 2nd, 2006 at 1:47 pm

This theme is like most of the WordPress themes. To change the php and css file thru WordPress panel admin you must configure files permissions to edit this. CHMOD the file, to setup the full access use 777.

    Hope this will help you.

  11. 11 Michael Oct 2nd, 2006 at 8:29 pm

Nope, already tried that. Did the folder and every single file to 777. Still no go, it’s like it’s locked out. The other themes I have installed work fine though? Oh well, I’ll just have to keep editing them outside of WordPress and them uploading them through FTP.

  12. 12 Peter Oct 3rd, 2006 at 9:46 am

You know what, try to change the CHMOD of the folders that or up to this theme folder, like wp-content or something like that. This is very strange, but i edit theme outside and uplod it by FTP, the WordPress editor is not so superb at all. This is my opinion.

I don’t think your problem is my theme fault. This are normal code files.

Are most of the used icons (e.g. house.png, rosette.png etc.) missing from the icons folder?

  14. 14 christopher Oct 4th, 2006 at 7:17 pm

That is one sweet theme, very nice work! Certainly one to be proud of. I’m sure people will be using that, and it’s good to see people building in extensions like the AJAX search into the theme’s, congratulations =)

  15. 15 Peter Oct 5th, 2006 at 10:51 am

@varometro : i think all the icons are there (i use free icons), maybe in footer the url are bad or something like that, if you need some icon just write here and i will help you

    @christopher : thanks

Oh no! We used to have the same modded design, but now we are different! What ever happened to uniformity…

Anyways, thanks for the theme. It is actually way nicer than my version. Oh well.

    BTW, great redesign as well.
