Is there a good way to use bookmarks ?
I have one main computer at work, i spend there 8 hours five days in a week. I got other PC in my parents home and two laptops on my girlfriend apartment where i live now. I use Firefox in 90 % of Internet time and bookmarks my links only in this browser.
But for example I am sitting at home reading some blogs and i want to bookmark them. I bookmark them with home PC but i don’t have it on other computers. Also in the end line there are probably about 20 websites that we use from day to day (maybe use RSS for those sites.. ?).
Other links we have in our bookmarks need to be up2date and organize to find what we need fast.
So today i found this nice post showing new bookmarks in Firefox 3.
In the bad news it not solved problem with browsers on different computers (some online sync maybe ?), but it can help to organize your bookmarks.

What is new in simple words:
1. Stars for faster index your links
2. Tags for faster search and some other tweaks
3. Bookmark Organizer to help you keep it clean
Now the best thing for the end of this post, join together new Bookmakrs with AwesomeBar.
Firefox 3 probably will rock Inerten, i hope so
To read more about those new tweaks visit:
Firefox 3 Bookmarks (My god, it’s full of stars…)
I hope next step for you will be Firefox 3 beta on your computer.

Cool extension Peter!
But, why don’t you use delicious or some online bookmarks?
Well i try to use them but i need default browser bookmarks that i can click in Firefox and that is it.
I try to use online services but in time i stop using them.
Thanks for the tip.
I can recomend also another similar extension, Foxmarks
you can also synchronize your bookmarks trough diferent computers (with firefox) and you can acess your bookmarks online in their site. This last feature is great wen you are on some friend computer or in a pc were you dont want to store your data.
It works with zero bugs for me for more than a year.
Ps. Crongratulations for the blog, keep up the good work.
Hi Peter
I had a similar issue using IE at work and Firefox at home.
Solved it by using the Google Toolbar. It has built-in bookmarks (the star in the middle) and it also integrates with iGoogle.
The advantage is that you can go to any computer that using either Firefox or IE and as long at they have the Google toolbar you just log into your Google account and your away.
Hello I propose to try this plugin for Firefox. Normally you just have to click on the del.icio.us button for add the page in your del.icio.us account and then you can have them in all your computers
)
Else you can take your bookmarks in a USB key. You just have to go in your firefox folder (”C:\Document and Settings\User\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\bookmarks.html”) and you copy this file in your USB key and when you’re on a different computer you take this file and replace the existent file in the firefox folder ! (You follow me ? I’m from Belgium so i don’t speak a good english
Foxmarks promise to be a good software. I need to check it and see if this really works for me.
Thx for comments !
one thing i’ve done in the past is create a web page with all my common links on it, plus an embedded google search field.
i then set that as my home page on the different machines. this works well teamed with delicious. the page itself can even have an RSS feed of your latest delicous bookmarks, or even just ones from a particular category.
