Last time i see in my Google Analytics account that SilentBits traffic is very low. I try to increase it by some WordPress tricks but that doesn’t help. I see some good signs, one of them are comments… but traffic is terrible and that make my motivation goes down to zero..
Today i found this open community discussion How do you Stay Motivated as a Blogger? but it doesn’t help me..
I found my main motivations: comments, traffic, rss readers, increase google PR. For those 4 motivations two of them are bad, i got low traffic and my PR goes to 2 from last Google update.
Maybe my readers can point me some things that i don’t see ?

I am there myself, I find it hard to find motivation to work on my blog.
I think the biggest motivation for myself is money, but the money isn’t there yet. I guess as soon as the money rolls in, thats when you gain the real motivation.
But comments certainly do help!
About the low traffic:
how about logging into your GA account and look for the main traffic keywords and the posts people spend the most time reading, then just optimize the page title and link to make that particular page go up in the rankings.
About PR:
What about backlinks, the above mentioned traffic should come from quality backlinks - friends, related blogs, create a partnership with another blog etc.
First of all, my English is terrible, but I like SilentBits!
Maybe you should think about your readers like you think about your more precious friends: one of them is so important like your own life.
Chers!
Ok, i am back for good
I think i just need some brake and it really work good for me..
sometimes its a bit tough ,.. but for the most part im pretty good at staying motivated
When I first started my blog, there was no motivation except to keep my friends informed when we had trouble in my original country, Kenya last year.
My blog is now getting between 300-1200 hits per day. Even with no posts for 2 days, I still get up to 700+ hits.
Things have somewhat cooled down in my country. I told myself that I will only continue with it as long as the readership stayed up. It is actually increasing so now I’m thinking of moving it to my own domain.
Just hang in there and try to make yourself stand out. The internet is a crowded place. There has to be something that you and maybe a few other people do better than everybody else.
I post late-breaking kenyan news and try to post the same day the news came out, hence the name of the blog.
I don’t know how far the blog will go, I will have to wait and see.
