The term was popularized by O’Reilly Media and MediaLive International as the name for a series of web development conferences that started in October 2004. Web 2.0 applications often use a combination of techniques devised in the late 1990s, including public web service APIs (dating from 1998), Ajax (1998), and web syndication (1997). They often allow for mass publishing (web-based social software). The term may include blogs and wikis. To some extent Web 2.0 is a buzzword, incorporating whatever is newly popular on the Web (such as tags and podcasts), and its meaning is still in flux.”

I consider my own words, web 2.0 are the new web, internet, new online services. It gives you many new features. One very interesting thing about Web 2.0 is sharing everything with global net. You can share online photos, music, links, etc. You can put your things online and share them with other users of global net.

Many new internet services are on the net. Too many if you asked me…. I want to show you a list of my favourite services that you cannot miss. Let me see what we have here.

Online bookmarks system

del.icio.us - Standard (the base) service for online social bookmarks, this is for store and share online links. We can say this is a online bookmarks system using tags, easily bookmark every page you want online, you can also see popular links and share links. You can also add your del.icio.us link to your own websites.

Ma.gnolia - Same thing as del.icio.us, but it is a newer service so it has some new features and works better. You can also put online links to your website.

claimID - Here you have another bookmark online place. It is a little bit different than ( not so combined ), and not so big. You can easily manage your links with it and it has a elegant interface.

Share online your images, photos

Flickr - Standard tool for upload and share photos online. You can upload and share images with others. You can also see some great other people images, split into groups with tags support and much more. You can place photos on your own website, also with flash included.

digg.com - The best place for news, you can see home page with top news this days, you can also add your own diggs to present somethinig to world.

Technorati - Another site with internet news, you can see tags with new stuff. Blogs automatically pings to Technorati and it shows new stuff there.

Box.net - 1GB free acount for any type of data storage online. Very nice service with cute look also.

One ring to rule them all

netvibes - One of the best places that gather all the data (also rss feeds) in one place. I set this page as a homepage in my own browser. You can have all the data in one place, online and use it whenever you want. You can put there all services like flickr, digg, del.icio.us, put there rss feeds from favorites sites, all nice looking Ajax based with nice tabs, everything customize to your own setting.

Other very similar service is Pageflakes.
